Course Description
Green building will be defined and reasons to build green will be presented.  Historical development of the green building movement across the nation and Alaska are covered, as are the negative impacts of current construction practices on energy consumption.  A look at the big picture of energy use both nationally and in Alaska, including opportunities to address these issues in Alaska through green building, will conclude the course.
