#370 Advanced Blower Door

Course Description: This advanced class builds upon the Basic Blower Door class. Students learn methods for predicting the potential of air leakage reduction in floors, walls and ceilings adjacent to buffer zones (attic, crawlspace, attached garage).  These methods can help determine whether air sealing work is needed or completed. Testing in the field includes relative holes size method using measured pressures and estimated leakage area, add a hole method between house and attic or crawlspace, and open door method between house and attached garage or basement.
