Course Description: This course covers how to use the State adopted program for calculating the energy efficiency of structures. Calculating building measurements, differentiating between products types and qualities, comparing appliance efficiency types, and calculating the annual fuel usage are all covered in this course. Also covered are cost benefit analysis of upgrades and changes to the building for retrofit projects.
Prerequisites: This course has prerequisites of course #100 Basic Math Skills (Online Class Only) AND #170 Techtite Software OR #171 Retrotech Software. Upon signing up for this course, your name will be submitted to the class list; however, we will need to check your prerequisites prior to confirming a seat for you in the course.
Free Classes: Some of the dates listed below are free. Upon check-out you will be asked for a $250 deposit. This deposit is a requirement of AHFC and will be refunded in full when you attend the class date you signed up for. If you fail to cancel your seat seven days prior to the start of class, or you fail to attend, you will forfeit your deposit to AHFC. Cancellations may be made here.
