Cold Climate Building Science Class
This 16-hour online course is required for anyone applying for an Alaska residential contractor endorsement. It's available 24/7 from any computer with an internet connection. The class is broken into short video segments you can work through at your own pace. You'll also get a full-color reference guide to download or print, which is useful for studying and for reference on the job.

Residential Endorsement Exam Prep Class
This 8-hour course prepares you to pass the State of Alaska residential endorsement exam. It's best taken after the Cold Climate class, and you can buy the two together as a bundle.

Need the exam reference books? Our rental program makes preparing for the exam more affordable and convenient. Every set matches the book list in the Residential Endorsement Candidate Bulletin.

How it works

1. Pay a $600 refundable deposit to reserve a set.
2. We ship the books to you.
3. After your exam, return the books to PO Box 1311, Kasilof, AK 99610.
4. We refund $450 when the books arrive, so the rental costs $150.

Registering for the State Exam
PSI, the State of Alaska's testing vendor, gives the residential endorsement exam. You register with PSI separately from our classes.
